The senate of Panjab University has approved the National Education Policy (NEP), 2020 for implementation from the current academic year. This decision means that the changes suggested by the new education policy will be implemented into the university’s curriculum. The NEP-2020 suggests several changes to the traditional Indian education system including a shift towards a more holistic and multidisciplinary approach and increased use of technology in education. PU vice chancellor Prof Renu Vig confirmed that the policy had been unanimously approved and would come into effect for the current academic session.

The senate of Panjab University(PU) on Saturday approved the National Education Policy (NEP), 2020 for implementation from the current academic year. PU vice chancellor Prof Renu Vig on Saturday confirmed, “The NEP-2020 will come into effect in PU from the current academic session. It was unanimously approved by the senate on Saturday."
