A four-member private astronaut team who took part in the Axiom Mission 2 (Ax-2) will be returning to Earth from the International Space Station (ISS) via the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft. The private crew spent a total of seven days in orbit before the spacecraft’s return journey. The Ax-2 mission was the second manned flight organized by Axiom Space, a Texas-based company focused on commercializing space. The four astronauts aboard the spacecraft were Michael LĂ³pez-AlegrĂa, Larry Connor, Mark Pathy, and Eytan Stibbe, and they conducted various scientific experiments on the ISS. The spacecraft will enter Earth’s atmosphere on September 18, 2021, and land in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Florida.
