SpaceX has revealed its new rocket, Starship, which is set to transport humans to the moon and Mars. Standing next to a 480-foot launch tower in Texas, the rocket is more powerful than any previous vehicles used for space travel. CEO Elon Musk has said that the Starship is necessary for humanity to become a “multi-planetary species.” The rocket’s first flight is set to take place in the coming months. SpaceX has already secured contracts with NASA to send astronauts to the International Space Station with their Falcon 9 rocket.
