Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India’s largest IT services company, has announced its plans to offer 40,000 campus jobs to freshers by the fiscal year 2023-2024. With this move, the company aims to combat the concerns of a slowdown in hiring in the tech sector. In the fourth quarter, TCS reported hiring over 19,388 professionals, taking the total headcount to 4,88,649. Additionally, it reported a 14.9% increase in profits, with Rs 9,246 crores in net profit for the quarter ended on March 31. TCS also stated that they will not be making any layoffs due to the pandemic, and will also continue to provide bonuses to its employees.
