Researchers from the University of Adelaide and South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) compared two different diets, a traditional Mediterranean diet and a time-restricted diet where participants had to eat all their meals within a 10-hour window. The findings showed that the time-restricted diet helped lower insulin resistance, which is a major factor leading to the development of type 2 diabetes. The study suggests that eating earlier in the day aligns with our body’s natural circadian rhythm and may be a beneficial lifestyle change for those seeking to reduce their risk of developing diabetes.
