NASA has picked four astronauts to take a commercial space flight to the International Space Station (ISS) aboard a SpaceX Dragon capsule in 2022. The mission will be the first entirely commercial space mission in history. The selected astronauts are Shane Kimbrough, Megan McArthur, Akihiko Hoshide, and Thomas Pesquet. The mission will use SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket and will mark the third time SpaceX will take astronauts to the ISS. The mission is the outcome of the ISS Commercial Crew program, through which NASA is working with various aerospace firms to develop commercial spaceflight capabilities for taking astronauts to space.
