Chinese smartphone brand Tecno is all set to launch its first foldable smartphone, the Tecno Phantom V Fold, following the footsteps of Oppo and Samsung. The smartphone was showcased at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona earlier this year and is confirmed to be launched in India. The Phantom V Fold is expected to have a global launch soon. The foldable smartphone has a flexible OLED screen, which folds in half through an inward folding mechanism. This gadget sports a 6.8-inch screen, runs on Android 11, has two batteries with a total capacity of 4700 mAh and is available in a single 8GB RAM/256GB internal storage configuration.
Tecno aims to gain a larger foothold in the Indian smartphone market with this innovative offering. The price of the Tecno Phantom V Fold is expected to be around USD 1,860, which places it in direct competition with the foldable smartphones offered by Samsung and Oppo.
