SpaceX successfully launched four astronauts, including Sultan al-Neyadi, the first astronaut from the Arab world going for an extended months-long stay, to the International Space Station for NASA. The launch had nearly 80 spectators from the United Arab Emirates, and many schools and offices across the UAE also broadcasted the event live. Besides al-Neyadi, the other astronauts are NASA’s Stephen Bowen, Warren “Woody” Hoburg, and Russia’s Andrei Fedyaev. The newcomers will replace the U.S.-Russian-Japanese crew that has been up there since October.
