The Tripura Assembly Election 2023 is being closely contested between the BJP-IPFT combine and the Left-Congress alliance. All the exit polls have predicted a huge mandate for the BJP-IPFT combine, with the combine tipped to win around 40 seats out of the total 60 seats. The challenge to the BJP-IPFT combine comes from Tipra Motha, a regional party headed by Pradyot Kishore Debbarma, which did not announce any alliance before the election. Till 12noon on Thursday, the trends from the counting maintained the prediction of the exit polls, though BJP’s gain may be stunted by Tipra Motha.
