Apple has reportedly delayed the approval of an update to the email app, BlueMail, which uses OpenAI’s GPT-3 language model, due to concerns that the AI-generated content might not be suitable for children. Other tech giants such as Microsoft and Alphabet Inc.’s Google have also introduced their own AI chatbots recently. However, early results in the nascent field of AI-powered chatbots have pointed to their unpredictability. The email app’s developer and Apple have yet to comment on the matter.
