The seventh edition of the eight-team league is expected to be played between June and July. Ahead of this year’s edition, the TNPL Governing council decided to introduce the auction. The total bid for each franchises is fixed at Rs, 70 Lakh. Ahead of the upcoming auction, the franchises have retained a maximum of two players from different categories. Big names like Dinesh Karthik, T Natarajan, Washington Sundar, Varun Chakravarthy, Vijay Shankar have all failed to make it to the retention list. They will be headlining the upcoming auction. Some of the other names to watch out for in the auction also includes Sai Kishore, Sai Sudharsan Baba Aparajith, Baba Indrajith and Murugan Ashwin. All the eight teams can have a squad strength of a minimum of 16 players and a maximum of 20 players. The hammers go down in two days as it is time for the TNPL 2023 Auctions.
