Domestic equity markets extended losses in noon deals on Tuesday with major index heavyweights like SBI, HDFC and Reliance Industries facing selling pressure. The Nifty50 had climbed over the 18,000-mark in early deals, but was now seen testing the 17,850 level. The BSE Sensex too touched a high of 61,290, but was now down 250-odd points at 60,750 level. However, the broader indices, such as the BSE Midcap and Smallcap, were seen holding gains. The Oil & Gas index was down 0.8 per cent, while the BSE IT index gained 0.8 per cent.
