Hyundai has made an investment of Rs 4,000 crore in India in order to expand its battery electric vehicle (BEV) product portfolio. The carmaker has already revealed its plans to launch 6 new BEVs and the next EV is expected to be the Hyundai Creta electric SUV. The Creta EV was recently spotted testing for the first time in the country and is expected to debut at the 2025 Auto Expo. It is rumoured that the Creta EV might source its powertrain from the Kona EV and will come with a permanent magnet synchronous motor delivering power worth 136bhp and 395Nm. The battery pack and range are yet to be revealed but it is expected to cost between Rs 15 lakh for the entry-level variant ā Rs 30 lakh for the fully-packed variant.
