Renault and Nissan’s alliance announced a fresh infusion of Rs 5,300 crore in the Indian market which will help the brands to develop new cars. The brand will launch six new locally produced cars in India that will be sold through both brands. This includes an entry-level Kwid based EV, 7-seater MPV and a higher C-segment or C-segment vehicle. The first is based on the CMF-AEV platform and is likely to be the entry-level Kwid based EV or the Kwid E-Tech as it is called in many Latin American markets. The second is based on the CMF-B modular platform and is likely to be an all-new third-generation 7-seater Duster. The third is based on the CMF-A+ platform and is likely to be a 7-seater MPV. Finally, the fourth is likely to be an electric derivative of the Kiger.
