This was due to the sell-offs that were triggered by the Hindenburg report against the Adani Group. Most of the stocks of the Adani Group companies were locked in lower circuits and trading in red. Adani once again emerged as the top loser on the world’s billionaire list and lost USD 2.4 billion in the early trade today. This resulted in him slipping to the 22nd spot on the billionaire list and losing the tag of India’s richest person to Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) chairman Mukesh Ambani.
