Google recently unveiled the first developer preview of its latest mobile operating system – Android 14. Called UpSideDownCake, Android 14 is an iterative upgrade to Android 13 and brings in several new features and a few improvements. It looks like Google is finally optimising its mobile operating system for foldable phones and tablets, with improved accessibility features such as support for large screens, per-app language, and font size up to 200%. It also has optimisations to battery life and new security features such as blocking the sideloading of older apps and preventing code injection. The first developer beta of Android 14 is currently available for select Pixel smartphones.
