India Women Cricket Team has been dealt a big blow ahead of Women’s T20 World Cup opener against Pakistan. Vice-captain Smriti Mandhana has been ruled out with a finger injury which she suffered during the warm-up match against Australia on Monday. Her innings lasted only three-balls. The team management had expected her to recover in time for the mega India vs Paksitan clash. The 26-year-old opener injured her left middle finger while fielding during the warm-up match. Additionally, skipper Harmanpreet Kaur’s fitness is also a concern as she had injured her shoulder during the final of the Tri-Series against South Africa last week. India are clubbed alongside England, Pakistan, West Indies and Ireland in Group B.
