Uric acid is a normal body waste product which is formed when chemicals called purines break down in the body. When uric acid accumulates in the small joints of our body, it causes the problem of gout. Excessive intake of high-purine foods and drinks with high sugar content also increases uric acid levels. To get rid of the problem of high uric acid, people should make some healthy changes in their eating habits and lifestyle patterns. Foods such as white bread, red meat, seafood, and honey should be avoided as they can trigger the problem of gout and kidney failure.
