This was not taken well by a certain section of netizens and in response, Naga Chaitanya and Akhil Akkineni issued a joint statement expressing their views on the matter. They mentioned that Sr. NTR Garu, ANR Garu, and SV Ranga Rao Garu have contributed immensely to Telugu cinema and called them the pride of Tollywood. They further added that disrespecting them is degrading ourselves.
