Delhi LG Vinay Kumar Saxena has written a letter to CM Arvind Kejriwal responding to the latter’s claim of LG’s alleged interference in the government’s work. The LG mentioned that statements made by CM Kejriwal in and out of the State Assembly are ‘severely and substantively misleading, untrue and derogatory’. The letter discussed several issues raised by the CM including the march to LG’s residence, being called ‘headmaster’, and sending teachers for training to Finland. The LG accused the CM of not meeting him and making a political posture and highlighted data related to the enrollment, attendance, and level of education in various Delhi Government schools. He also accused the Delhi government of ‘rampant adhocism’ in schools and mentioned the complaint by several Delhi University colleges, fully funded by GNCTD, over nonpayment of salaries. In the end, the LG mentioned that he is sure CM Kejriwal will take cognizance of the facts stated in the letter and would take remedial measures to rectify the shortcomings.
