22-year-old Aniket Jadhav has signed a two-year contract with Odisha FC, Khel Now can confirm. A source close to the development informed Khel Now that Odisha has paid an undisclosed transfer fee to East Bengal in order to acquire Jadhav’s services. Jadhav was part of the Indian squad in the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup and has been part of Indian Arrows, Jamshedpur FC and Hyderabad FC.
East Bengal signed Jadhav in the summer window of 2022, and during his stay at East Bengal, he was dropped to the reserve team and his playing position was changed from that of a preferable left winger to a right winger. This change in club might come in as a blessing in disguise for Jadhav, who had mostly traded as a substitute at the Red & Golds.
Odisha FC are currently in the fifth position of the ISL 2022-23 points table and have collected 22 points in 14 games. The Juggernauts have already acquired the services of Tankadhar Bag and with Jadhav’s addition, the team will become more stronger. It remains to be seen how much of the game time Jadhav will receive at Odisha.
Overall, Jadhav’s transfer to Odisha FC could be a great chance for him to revive his career and make his mark in the Indian Super League.
